From M25

We’re 10 minutes from the M25 Leave the M25 at junction 29 taking the A127 towards Southend

Take the exit for Billericay, enter the roundabout following the signs for the farm museum and Noak Hill. Go through Noak Hill and take the 2nd turning on the left into Barley lands road still following the signs for Barley lands Farm Museum.

Follow the road all the way to the 'T' junction (passing Barley lands on the way)and turn left at the'T' junction.

Turn right into Coxes Farm Road (opposite Kings Head Pub). Follow road all the way to T Junction and turn right.

Skirmish Wood is approx. 500 yards on the right and is clearly signposted. Proceed down track to car park (1/4 mile).

From A12

We’re 10 minutes from the A12 (Chelmsford By-Pass)Take the B1007 to Billericay going through the village of Stock.

When you come to the first town sign for Billericay turn left at the next roundabout into Potash Road (Signposted Ramsden Heath).

Follow Road all the way to T Junction. Then turn left then immediate right into Outwood Common Road.

Proceed down Outwood Common Road for approx. 1 mile through residential area going downhill. Take the second turning on left Outwood Farm Road.

Continue along Outwood Farm Road for approx. ½ mile. Skirmish Wood is on the left hand side and is clearly signposted.

Proceed down the track to the car park (1/4 mile) From Brentwood:

Follow the A129, turn right at junction where the police station is, continue for 1/2 mile then left at roundabout.

Turn right at next roundabout (A129) then left into Outwood Common Road, then right into Outwood Farm Road where the entrance to Skirmish Wood will be found 1/2 mile on your right and is clearly signposted. Proceed down the track to the car park (1/4 mile).

By Rail:

BILLERICAY IS ON THE MAIN LINE FROM LONDON LIVERPOOL ST. TO SOUTHEND

The train station is approx 1.5 miles from the site. There is a taxi firm based just outside the station (Telephone nos: 01277 624000 / 623000) and the fare is about £3.00 (per car load)
